But i thought, in case you don't know me and what to know who's blog you're reading, i'd let you know a bit about me!
Name - Emma Oldfield
Age - 23 years
Current Location - Coventry
Latest Education - Print Journalism Degree at Nottingham Trent University
When I grow up I want to be - A fashion journalist
For now I'm happy - working to earn money to go travelling
I like - Minnie Mouse, pop tarts, cups of tea, strongbow and magazines
I don't like - fish, funny foods, the tv show 'Miranda', bitchy girls and long car journeys
My family and friends honestly do make my life. I'm very lucky to have two amazing parents who have brought me and my sister up, giving us the best childhood, a load of amazing memories and through their friends has meant we have met some of the most amazing, lovely people who I consider part of my family!
As you grow older it's true that you learn who your true friends are and you don't quite have the 30 something group of girls you spent every lunchtime with at school, but that's just life, people move on, have disagreements, grow apart, move away, etc, but i'm content in knowing the friends that surround me now are full of fun, trust, confidence, beauty and intelligence and time with them is always well spent!

Meet the parents
As I mentioned above, I've got a lot of respect for the three people surrounding me in this photo. Together we've got this bond which has formed from ups and downs, experiences where at moments we've wanted to kill each other, but also experiences where you couldn't of collected more love than what we have for each other.
What I love most about this lot is that they tell it you straight, if you've pissed them off you'll hear about it, if they're disappointed you'll know it, but most of all when they're proud you'll feel it!
I've also learnt that as cliche and as often you hear it, life really is too short, and it's easier to forgive and forget, than hold grudges over things when it's about people that really just have your best interests at heart!

Wayne's Wedding, me, HK and our dad |
Now he is without any doubt, the best dad in this entire world. It's not even possible to explain all he does for us and how thoughtful he is to others. In 2011, we got the heart breaking news that our dad had cancer, it didn't make sense to anyone, everyone we know was so shocked, but noone was as shocked as me and little HK, our dad? how could our dad get cancer? was what we kept saying at the start.
But if it was even possible, it has bought us all even closer, it's made us stronger as individuals and as a family and it really makes you value your life for the better! I might sometimes (a lot of the time) refer to my dad as Pete, this is because he's Peter Pan, he's a grown up when we need him to be, but he's also still a child who doesn't really want to grow up! it's cool though, we love him like that!!
Last, but not least. Little, but loud. Short arse, but ghetto arse.

This is Hannah Kate, hence the HK. She's 18 months younger than me, and people either think we look nothing alike, or they think we're twins!
We're not just sisters, we're best friends and i'm pretty certain we always will be.
We're similar, but then we're very different as well. But the good thing is we get each other, and we can almost read each others minds, we know when each other are sad even if we're not together, we know when one another are lying and when we need to step up!
Hannah is my inspiration to so many things, she holds a lovely character, shes a beautiful person, she works hard to achieve things she has her mind set on and she doesn't ever let things hold her down.
So this is my family, they're who I spend most of my time with and they're the people I respect, value and will protect for as long as I can :)
